DIY Lip Balm with my 3 year old

A few weeks ago I saw a Crayola create your own shimmering lip balm kit at Walmart. I thought that would be something my daughter would love to do.

Yesterday she found it and insisted on opening it. She was super excited and wanted to make her own lip gloss. She calls it lip gloss cause it's easier and more relevant.  This kit is for 6+ and m daughter is 3 but she's pretty mature for her age and either way i was helping her.

After reading the instructions we got onto creating her first lip gloss. If you've read any of my blogs you'd know that my daughter is obsessed with color pink and anything sparkly. So naturally when I asked her what color/flavor she wanted to use for her first lip gloss she chose the cheery cherry flavor which is a nice hot pink color. The kit includes some shimmering liquid which she used very liberally lol.

What I loved about this kit is that the little lip balm containers are like little balls. I like the round dome shapes. Too cute. But fair warning this kit is very messy.

So first you cut the lip balm base into quarters.

You use the enclosed scooper and put it into the cup.

You then mix the flavoring and shimmer if you want and then put it into the lip balm container and freeze for 30 minutes.

Then today she wanted to create another lip gloss. She chose blue this time so we used the groovy grape flavor. It came out more pigmented than the pink.

Can you tell that she loves her lip gloss?

If you'd like to purchase this you can on Amazon. If you purchase I may make a percentage of the sale and this will not add anything to your total. Thank you.
